Quick & easy healthy snacks for kids are awesome.
Actually, anything that makes healthy eating with kids easier is awesome. These banana bites fit the bill 100%.
This snack is ready in 30 seconds, and to make it even better, it involves eating off of a toothpick 🙂 Score!
…because apparently food just tastes a lot better off a toothpick. Don’t ask me why, I don’t decide.

Ps- try this toothpick trick with roasted veggies also. It’s pretty amazing when veggies that are being met with scowls can suddenly be happily munched down by the appearance of a toothpick!
(And you thought you didn’t know magic… look at you!)
I’ll put these into a recipe, though they really don’t need specifics, because then if you pin them you’ll see the ingredients listed, or if you add them to your mealplan in the Prepear app, it’ll add them right to your grocery list!
P.s… If you haven’t tried it Prepear is a pretty amazing app, and FREE (cue angels singing).
So the short version: Chop your banana into 1/2″ pieces, roll them in hemp hearts, & spear them with a toothpick! Voila! Instant, healthy snack.
P.s. These are also a lot easier for little hands to hold than a ‘naked’ banana 🙂
